All sessions run as long as they need to for us both feel like we've accomplished what we wanted. Part of what you are paying for is my talent and experience and trust that I will make sure we have captured the essence of the session. Typically speaking, sessions last anywhere from 45 minutes to up to 2 hours (depending on moods, appetites, and lavatory needs).
All sessions will receive the edited hi resolution jpegs within 2 weeks of the session for your printing pleasure.
All sessions require a deposit at the time of booking the session and the remainder when you have been notified the pictures are ready.
All non-studio sessions will require some thought about what type of look you are going for and collaboration to pick the perfect outdoor location. The best time of day to do that session is approximately a 1/2 to 1 hour before sunset (or sunrise, but I'm not much of a morning person). That time changes depending on the time of the year.
Newborn sessions can be done one of two ways. I can come to your house, assuming you have a source of good natural light like a sliding doors or large windows; or, I have a studio in my home. I am really happy to do whichever you are most comfortable with. Cute hats, headbands, or other props are welcome. The session cost is $300.
NEW OFFERING: I have enjoyed so much seeing the babes grow and grow so I am now offering a "Year One!" package (see Year One! gallery with just a few examples but I hope to have more soon) where we meet every 3,4, or 6 months to document your child's first year. Pricing for that depends on the frequency of the session birth-one year (every 3 months for a total of 5 sessions) is $600; birth to one (every 4 months for a total of 4 sessions) is $500; birth to one (every 6 months for a total of 3 sessions) is $400
Ah, seniors. Young men and women who have most nearly survived high school and just want to get on to the next phase of life. Maybe it's because I used to be a high school teacher (Go Lancers!) or maybe because I loved my senior year of high school, but I adore these kids. We all work together to choose an appropriate location (or locations) and then choose objects that represent their high school career (sports, instruments, etc.) and have multiple easy-to-do-in-a-car outfit changes. The session cost is $300.
The question I get the most is: "What do we wear???" Oh, I get it. I did my own family session a couple years ago and at the last minute was like "oh, right, this is MY job this time." I direct people to Pinterest where there are LOTS of outfit ideas. In general, pick a three color pallet and try to unify the family with one color by using accessories and/or clothes. For instance, grey, navy blue and red. The red can be a "pop" on mom with a scarf, or necklace and on boys with a plaid shirt or red shoelaces. Another fun idea with a family session is to bring objects the kids like to play with so I can capture some "photojournalistic" moments of the kids and/or the whole family. The main thing to encourage (for reluctant dads/kids) is that the session will go by quickly and will be more fun than they expected. That's my job. Quick and painless. Session cost is $250. I can also do a quick half hour session for $125.
Wedding packages start at $1400. Please contact Liz at 520-603-1591 for further pricing details.
